Ladies Is Your Fashion Madness Grooming You Into Laziness?
In a world where people remain relevant either by the things they do, wear or say, competition is inherent not minding if it is a healthy or an unhealthy one.
I saw this kind of a not too healthy competition, though l wouldn't allow myself to adjudge it as bad that is if you don't see it the same way. So l went to my friend's lodge at Umuariaga Village, the host community of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike and l saw some people who really had time for fashion that rendered them handicap. ln fact, it was a competition.
Two ladies who were resident in the lodge, who were on their Industrial Training Programme and had to remain in school, just returned from their pedicure and manicure session and the kind of nails they fixed could tear through the skin and rip out the heart of any mortal. It was as long as a six inch nail. They painted each fingernail a different colour and they looked like a decorated masquerade.
I further got infuriated as when one of them who wanted to do her laundry couldn't because of the supposed damage water will do to her newly fixed nails and the difficulty the length of the nail will cause her during washing. She had to contract a neighbour who isn't a student though to help her wash with an offer of #500. She rendered herself handicap because they want to be fashionable.
Ladies, why do you pass through stress to give yourselves more stress all in the name of looking like a copied fashionable celebrity? If care is not taken your fashion madness could only be grooming you into laziness and making unsuitable to be take care of a home. What do you think about this trend?
