Abia Poly Internal Strike Set to End, Exams on Hold Released
Following almost one month of an industrial action which had the premises, lecture rooms and offices of the Abia State Polytechnic (Abia Poly), Aba shut down, an agreement has been reached with staff of the institution to call off the strike and reopen the institution for academic and other activities.
The strike which started on the 22nd day of August, same day exams for the second semester were scheduled to commence has neared its end state. An insider who is a senior officer of the institution made this known and confirmed that an agreement has been reached by the management and staff of the polytechnic and school is expected to fully resume on Monday, 19th September, 2016.
The resumption will come along with it, the examination which should have been completed by now for the HND 2 and OND 2 Students and as the students return to school and having taken time out to prepare for their examinations, we welcome them back to school and wish them a wonderful examinations.
