It was another fateful experience yesterday when the Shoprite located in Ilorin, Kwara State, completely shut its doors against me and my UNIILORIN girl friends as a crowd of people stormed their store for the public holiday.
Na so I and my friends waka enter shoprite yesterday, as we no come get anything do for house we say make go buy even if na mineral make we take am pose and pass out time. Na so as we reach o, come see crowd. My brother, my sister no be small thing o. Me self come dey shy how I go enter shoprite go buy only mineral upon say I carry cab N100 reach Shoprite finish. Make i go house? I no even no.
Low and behold, as the crowd became too much, Shoprite of all people shut their doors to prevent others from coming.
I and my friends were exactly in front of the door when it was shut and this attendant had the audaucity upon say we be fine girls shut door for us (lol..who we epp?) However, other customers who get money pass me were still eager to get in, while we stayed put at the door awaiting our turn like forever (who tell you say we wan enter before).
That reminds me, few days ago as I was at GTB it was filled with a queuing crowd who want to use the ATM. all because of this Ramadan. I spent more than 2 hours on the queue on Monday with few others which seems like forever.
Coming back to the malls. Shoprite wasn't the only mall that was crowded up guess they were just scared there won't be a breathing space for them inside.
With everywhere looking like a campaign ground.
I never know Ilorin will be as crowded up as this this festive period. Guess things are changing because we are in the tenure of change.
