I was speaking with Eromosele who is a student of the prestigious University of Benin, UNIBEN and he told me he has this female lecturer who would not act as a female should but always wanted to act and seen to be performing like a man.
I was somewhat not in total comprehension with what he was trying to tell me until he told me that he has this female lecturer that is even more strict than her male counterparts and has made life too difficult for him in the campus. He said she is even more "wicked" than many of his male lecturers as she can not forgive any act of negligence on the part of any of her students.
We have come to know from even the days of our secondary education that the whip of discipline lies firmly in the hands of the male teachers and the females will punish but on a milder level but for some, they could be more heartened than the males.
The science inclined students in MOUAU also have seen this kind of womanly strictness which has been exhibited by the Bio 111 female lecturer. She has the eyes of an eagle, very flexible and would leave no stone unturned when dealing grossly with any erring student. She doesn't know pardon until she is satisfied.
Against the usual, is this unusual scenario but limited to those who haven't experienced it and in your opinion having been a victim, who do you think is more strict when we compare the male and female lecturers?
